If you were to look at where the majority of your customers live, you will find they are right in your backyard. Own the backyard. Those are the customers who are most likely to come back to you more often because of your convenience.

Which is the best spot on the postcard?

The beauty of the MI Hometown Deals postcard is that these are placed in the mailboxes and the homeowners pick them up and review them. There is not a “best spot” per se. They are all equally good.

Are these stuffed into anything?

No. This is a standalone piece of mail that his not stuffed into anything. Each one has it’s own postal indicia.

How are these delivered?

These are delivered by the United States Post Office by the mail carriers. The postcards are sorted by mail route and individually marked. I bring them to the post office and they are placed within each carrier’s mail for the day

Has this one been laminated?

No. Each sample you have received is exactly what goes in the mail. Each postcard is printed on 14 point paper with a ultra violet laminate that gives it the smooth feel.

Do you do solo mailings?

Who else is on the card?

Each month it varies. We do have many long standing customers that are on each month. That is up to them to continue to advertise. They are not under a contract to continue mailing.

Will I be the only on in my industry?

Yes. You will be the only business in your industry. There will only be one hair salon, 1 jewelry store, etc.

Can you come see me next month?

Certainly. If you would like to put a deposit down for next month, we can secure your spot and make sure your competition does not take it from you. Here is an agreement for you to sign saying you will do it next month.

You are new, why should I trust you?

Write out a check to MI Hometown Deals mail, I will not cash the check until the postcard is printed.

What type of payment do you accept?

We find that most small business owners are comfortable with checks. This allows you to have a receipt for your tax purposes and also a record of payment. We will take credit cards as needed.

Do you have a Federal Tax ID number?

Yes we do. Please call us for that number.

Do you do any other areas?

Not at this time. We are currently expanding.

I am the only business in the area who sells my product, why should I advertise?

Many businesses have said that in the past. With the internet now, it is very hard to find a business that has exclusivity for a service or product. Can your product or service be found on Amazon? Does Wal-mart or Costco sell your product?

What the average return?

That depends on what you are offering. If you are a home remodeler, chances are 1 sale will recoup the cost of the advertisement. If you are a restaurant it will take more sales to recoup the cost of the advertisement. Keep in mind that you should have a compelling offer to get customers to bring in the coupon.

How do I track the effectiveness of the ad?

Make sure you inform your personnel that you are running the ad. Make sure they collect the ad. In addition, track what the customer has purchased and notate it.

The best time to advertise is when you are busy. If you wait until you slow down it will be too late.

The only people who use coupons are the price gougers, why should I advertise to them?

There are some people who only visit businesses when they get a big discount. Think GroupOn. I am not going to say that is not going to happen. Although the majority of people who use coupons are using them to fulfill a need that your business provides.

This is junk mail no one reads junk mail. Why should I advertise on junk mail?

I respectfully disagree. Look at your mail. Look at the amount of mail you are receiving. Then look who is sending you mail. Some very big companies utilize the mail service, like Google. Advertising in the mail is a very cost-effective way to ensure your message is seen by thousands of people.

Nobody gets mail anymore with the internet, why should I do this?

You are correct, the amount of mail customers receive has decreased. In fact, the mail customer receive has gone down to XXXX. With online billing, and email homes receive less mail. That is a good thing. Due to the fact that the MI Hometown Deals postcard will stand out even more with less mail.

The mailman will just throw this in the trash, why should I trust the customers will receive it?

Any mailman who would do that would be fired instantly. I am not going to say that mailmen have never thrown out mail. It does happen. We tend to remember the memorable stories. I have had this postcard delivered to my house 12 times. I have received it each of those 12 times. If you live in the area you will receive it as well.

What if it only brought in people who were using us already?

Did they come in more often. Great if you get new customers or get your current customers to come in more often.
